Hello!

I’m Deb Paid, the owner, project manager, and host of Fallen Leaf guesthouse and studio. I have lived in this community since the early 1970s, as the co-owner of Rare Earth Hardwoods and Amazon Timberframes, which have supplied custom cabinet makers, contractors, and others - including me - with fine imported lumber. I have been lucky to have access to such high-quality materials and professional contractors to finish my studio project.

I love to read, travel, and meet new and interesting people. Fallen Leaf became my haven in which to relax and work on my creative pursuits, including cooking, gardening, needlework, woodworking, painting, and music to name a few. I also enjoy staying active and involved by biking, hiking, kayaking, taking art classes, going to concerts, and frequenting the farm markets, festivals, and estate sales.

You can often find me with my two dogs, out and about, usually working to maintain the property. I enjoy working on the gardens and 5000-gallon koi pond, keeping everything pristine, updated, and running smoothly. Feel free to ask me about anything. I appreciate the opportunity to make your stay comfortable, rejuvenating, and memorable.

Relax and enjoy,

Deb, Dex, and Piper

Now that you know a bit about the area, let’s explore the guesthouse itself.

Just inside the “statement” front door, a stunning Brazilian rosewood staircase leads to a central living area that features a high, angled ceiling with a skylight, white partial interior walls, expansive aesthetic windows, and sliding glass doors that open onto a large, flagstone-framed koi pond, a setting as lush as a rainforest. The variety of flora and fauna on this property may make you feel as though you’re at a wildlife sanctuary. The natural sounds of crickets, owls, frogs, and more only serve to enhance the peaceful nature of the property. The distinctive custom-milled flooring and woodwork add to the organic appeal of this luxurious guesthouse nestled under its canopy of towering trees. This intimate space feels bright and airy due to the open design, huge windows, and skylights. Next to the living area, a spotless bathroom provides a spacious glassed-in shower, white ceramic tile, and cabinets, along with plenty of mirrors and storage. Adjoining the bathroom is a chef’s dream kitchen with new stainless steel top-of-the-line appliances. A massive, natural-edged Brazilian Cherry slab-top island with built-in storage claims this room’s stunning focus. Tucked behind the main living area is a bedroom and an additional small space, suited for an additional bedroom, office, storage, etc.

Extra features include a high-end Sonos surround sound system, high-speed internet, air conditioning, heated floors, softened well water, a private entrance, designated parking, and access to a washer and dryer suited for light loads.
